The officers and members of Harmony Lodge No. 3, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Illinois extend greetings to those seeking Masonic fellowship.

Established October 4, 1837 by dispensation issued by the Grand Lodge of Missouri we were known as Harmony Lodge No. 24, A.F. & A.M. The current Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Illinois was organized at the Jacksonville Masonic Hall on April 6, 1840. At that time six Lodges were chartered and we became Harmony Lodge No. 3, A.F. & A. M. of the State of Illinois.

Prominent Masons from Jacksonville include; William B. Warren – Beloved Union Army Colonial Mexican-American War, First Grand Secretary of Grand Lodge of Illinois and Grand Master in 1853. Dr. Green V. Black – “Father of modern Dentistry” who created the tooth filling still used today. (Civil War Gov.) Richard Yates – Illinois Governor from 1861-1865 and Richard Yates, Jr. - Illinois Governor from 1901-1905.
